Adam's Apple Reduction (Tracheal Shave) Surgery in Montreal

Tracheal shaving, often called Adam’s Apple reduction, is one of the most distinctive features of the male appearance. This triangular ridge in the middle of the neck, the Adam’s Apple, develops during puberty and consists of cartilage surrounding the vocal cords.

Understanding the Adam's apple surgery procedure:

Dr. Bensimon’s technique: Effective Adam’s apple removal

Dr. Bensimon’s technique is an extremely effective way to reduce the Adam’s apple, which involves carefully removing and shaving the cartilage in that area.

How is the tracheal shave (Adam's apple reduction) procedure performed?

The surgery for reducing the Adam's apple

A small, fine incision of 2.5 cm is made high on the neck and not on the cartilage itself to hide the scar. With proper post-operative care, the scar will become flat and virtually imperceptible.

Satisfactory results: A transformative reduction!

Dr. Bensimon’s patients consistently report high satisfaction with their results. It is often possible to achieve a reduction of 80 to 100%, allowing our patients to blend in and have a more feminine appearance.

After the Surgery

If done alone, recovery only lasts a few days. One can expect some sore throat.
